As a non-profit charitable organization and a working farm, Linnaea relies on a network of amazing supporters, donors and members who make it possible for the resident stewards to focus on cultivating (and protecting) the land, teaching students and caring for the farm. Interested in getting involved? There are three ways to support the Linnaea Farm Society.
Become a Member
Membership in LFS can mean many things. Individuals pay a yearly membership to join the Society as an expression of their support of our work. Membership entitles you to receive our annual newsletter, to be kept informed of activities of the Society and to have a vote at the AGM. There are also several working committees under the Linnaea Farm Society if a member is seeking more active participation.
There are many costs that go into managing a working farm. From day to day maintenance to larger projects such as new outbuildings, fencing improvements and garden expansion, every dollar donated to Linnaea Farm Society works hard. We greatly appreciate donations big or small, which allows us to continue our mission of ecological land stewardship and community building through the land.
Occasionally we require an extra set of hands (or two…or ten!) around the farm, especially leading up to our annual Harvest Festival. When there is an opportunity to volunteer, we will post more information on the blog as well as send an email out to all of our faithful, fantastic email subscribers. Make sure you sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss an important update from Linnaea!
